Hi Melcul, I am from eastern european country and I also work in the UK 4 years now, however I am hepa B positive and I could give you few advises. First contact your GP, tell him to refer you to hepatologist. Once you attend your appointment with hepatologist they will make you all the liver  tests they need to understand more about your condition. So they will be your liver team ( looking after your liver) . Every six months you will have an appointment , give blood and they will follow up your liver function. If you need treatment they will discuss that with you and yes it will be free if you have national insurance ( medical insurance) . I could recommend UCLH ( if you are based in London),they are very friendly and so far I havent had any problems with them. Good luck , if you need more info just let me know.
