Yeah I was thinking maybe that's what's going on and he's just too ignorant to ask. This is like his second shot that I know of since he found out about his infection. He won't tell me much about his Dr. Visits so I have to go by what little info he gives me.
maybe he was not acute but cronic carreier?
in this case he had a flare and they are using interferon which is the best drug to try to clear hbv athough only 11% do
nothing related to hbv interferon is the only inj drug but crazy to use on acute, no clinical reports on acute, entecavir and tenofovir have been given in case of fulminant hepatitis but this is very rare
another clinical case on fulminant hepatitis is entecavir+immune suppressive drugs, i don't know any other treatment for hbv directly
He's pretty ignorant and doesnt know what so that's why I'm asking what it might be.
