Will Changing Drug Cause Flare Up?

I changed from Hepsera to Tyzeka on 5/22/08.  On 7/18, my DNA HVB rose from undectable to 600 and rose again
to 2700 on 08/20/2008.  My questions:
1 Does this mean I do not respond to Tyzeka?
2. Should I change to Ziread since it is approved.
3. I have experienced elbow pain, left arm, with Tzyeka.
  4. Does changing drugs instead of stopping altogether cause flare up?

Previouusely I took EPIVIR for 7 years and Hepsera for one year.

Thank you.

Yes, the inability to hold down the viral with anitviral(s) will lead to flares.  That why it called hepatitis.

So 7 years on Epivir?  Did you develop resistance?
Why the switch from Hepsera to Tyzeka?

And if you developed resistance, you should really do add-on (combo treatment), instead of switching from one mono-therapy to another mono-therapy.

Sounds like it.

2. Should I change to Ziread since it is approved.

Must be followed by your doctor.

3. I have experienced elbow pain, left arm, with Tzyeka.

Question?

4. Does changing drugs instead of stopping altogether cause flare up?

Possible.  That's why you must be guided by your doctor who has all your lab results.
