Will hep B ever clear up?

So I was on medication for  Viread and lamivudine for about 9months until virus showed undetected, so me not being well informed I stop taking the medications, now it back with low load about 290, found this out around the same time I found out I am almost 2montha pregnant

I want to continue taking medications will it still work? Or has the virus become immune to the medications because I stoped taking it for a while

And  my last question will the viruse ever clear up? Or will it just show undectatable  forever, meaning I will have to be on those medications for it to constantly be undectable, I don't mind being on medications for ever, but will it harm my body if let's say I am on it for years in what ways will my body be harmed due to years of these medications

hello all,

In the month of july 2016 i had jaundice and later after the blood test my doctor said i have chronic hepatitis b and also hs said their is no permanent cure for the same.

But lot of people says they have cured chronic hep b via ayurveda.

Any suggestions from you.

Yes, at the moment there is no definite cure for HBV. In my opinion, ayurveda CANNOT cure HBV, this suggestion has been around for a long time with no proof. That said, a very small percentage of patients (1 ~ 2 % per year) can be cured with or without treatment. Checkup regularly and start treatment when it is necessary.

tenofovir has no resistance, so dont worry

a good number should clear or get hbsag extremely low after 1-2 decades of use so discontinuation or clearance by peginterferon add on is possible......by that time definitive cure should be available on the market (replicor's drug)

You have given us very scant information.
It is unusual to take Viread and Lamivudine within a short period of 9 months.
If your viral load is 290 iu/ml, you do not need to take any medication. Since you are pregnant, you should monitor your hbvdna closely, if it rises about log6 iu/ml and you are HBeAg positive, you should consult your doctor about starting Viread at your third trimester in order to reduce the risk of vertical transmission.
You can generally resume taking Viread, your HBV is unlikely to be resistant to Viread. No need to take Lamivudine, just Viread will be sufficient.
All medications have side effectives. Viread has been shown to be safe for most patients who have been taking it for 8 years.
The HBV can clear up with or without medication, but it is rare. It is too pessimistic to say you have to medication for ever.
