Worried.. Risk of transmission? Please help!

Hey, im so worried right now its not even funny. About a month ago me and my(ex) girlfriend was involved in foreplay, so it speak and now rumors is coming out she has Hepatitis B. Now heres what has me concerned, during the start she stuck her fingers in herself and stuck them in my mouth. I didn't mean to be so vivid but there is no other way around to put it, aside from the events above I just masturbated her, nothing more. Should I be worried? Because I am.

Also does Hepa B show up in a standard blood test? I had one done about a month ago as well, just for a psychial and it was around the same time or would I need a special test? Thanks in advanced, because an answer sure would lift a heavy burden from my shoulders.

Just to clarify - you need to ask for a HEP PANEL...

My sincere advisement would be to contact the Ex - if you can - and to ask her directly if she has HEP B. Tell her that you have been told she does - and if so, should you get checked.

Please don't hold it against her - she may not have known at the time - if she is, in fact, HBV pos.

IF she is not HBV pos - you should probably go get your HEP B vaccine so that this question will NEVER come up for you again.

Much luck to you!

Your chances are low for getting HBV.  But still do what caution dictates.

If you had to guess chances, what would it be? Also note I washed my hands shortly after so would the only real worry be from her putting her fingers in my mouth? Thanks for the reply though.

HBV is mostly in blood but also in body fluids.  If your girlfriend has HBV then you were probably exposed to it.  But don't worry yet just be cautious:  95% of adults who are exposed to HBV will clear it and be immune for life.  For the next 6 months or so be gentle to your liver and your body.  No, a standard blood test will not test HBV.  Ask for tests for HBV.

How to be cautious?  Read this:  http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hepatitis-b/DS00398/DSECTION=lifestyle%2Dand%2Dhome%2Dremedies

Hope this helps.
