about hepatitis b

my brother diagnosed with hepa B . he is married with 4 kids, as what i heard about this sickness that it is a transferable disease . but when his wife and kids undergo a medical check up the doctor find they are negative  from this illness. does it mean that my brother sickness is differ from other hepatitis B? is there any classification of this illness?

Why do you assume that the person got HepB from playing around?

Don't assume that.  The majority of chronic HepB has nothing to do with "playing around".

Yes, while your brother is infected he can give the disease to others.  That doesn't mean he definitely will.  But caution should be exercised if he is in the acute phase especially.  

His family should be vaccinated if they haven't been already.

If your brother's wife and children are immune to HepB, they will be negative with HepB even though your brother has HepB.
