You should plan on living a full life.  The incident rate with cirrhosis and HCC is around 15-20%.  With newest antivirals cirrhosis is essentially taken care of and the only real threat is HCC.  Many different factors go into that, so there are plenty of studies that have scores and predicting models based on Genotype and a bunch of other factors.  But it should be significantly lowers than that percentage.

Since vertical transmission is the most prevalent way of transmission, most people on this board have been carriers for most of their lives, so the answer to your question is yes.

Best thing about HBV is that now you know you have it and you can plan on monitoring/treating if necessary.  You can't fix what you don't know (so you're already ahead).  So my advice, plan and live your life as you choose/wish regardless of statistics.

hbv has almost no influence for life expectancy, even centenarious have been found to have cirrhosis on autopsy, if you dont know you have it you just have the hcc risk of about 5-10% maybe
