anti-hbc

by mah, Jul 19, 2001 12:00AM
I am a 42 year old man, in 1994 I was immunised against hepatitis b by taken 3 doses of the vaccine. I was tested in march 2000 and my hepatitis antibodies were below 100mu/l which meant that I needed a boaster. But my ALT were raised to 73. Recently I was vaccinated by one boaster dose of hepatitis B vaccine, my AlT was still high at 77. A repeat test 5 days after the vaccine showed: ALT 72, HBs negative, anti-HBs 10-100mu/l, Anti-HBc positive. I am physically healthy and a liver ultrasound scan was normal. What does this all mean? thank you for your help.
