have you ever had alt below 30?if not etv is not strong enough for you
the synthoms are too many and you should check immediately if it is lactic acidosis by blood test, you might find info on lactic acidosis on hiv websites too since they have this risk too.if possible mke blood test monday too with doc visit.actually
if you have not lactic acidosis you must find the reason of these synthoms by doctor and blood tests
i suggest you switch to tenofovir which is more potent than etv and safer since no resistance, i also suggest ntz combo after you know the reason of synthoms and you get rid of them
ntz will prevent resistance in any case and lower antigens and hopefully make hbsag negative
I still do not feel good after 2 visit at ER i feel really sick after i take the pill.
I have
•Fever
•Feeling tired (fatigue)
•Loss of appetite
•Nausea
•Vomiting
•Abdominal pain
•Light-colored stool (feces)
•Dark urine
I did not take it for one day and i was better but i don't know what to do . I have an appointement on monday with the liver doctor .My first doctor that was a nurse practicion told me to continue with this pill . I have been on the pill for 2 1/2 years.
Any input i would really app.
nucs are for life they don't cure or affect virus, they just stop replication and liver damage, if you stop you relapse happens shortly and resistance mutation is very very probable
after resistance mutation only tnf can stop virus but we don't know how long
to stop replication 6months-1 year can be necessary, i just could stop replication within 6 months becasue made combo with ntz
omg...for 2 years already?are you taking it everyday continously?why does it take too long?my doc told me for only 1 year..TT
if your alt is still abnormal after 2 years entecavir is not suppressing hbvdna in the liver you should have alt below 30
i suggest a combo with nitazoxanide or tenofovir first
i think sides are not related with etv and not important, fast heartbeat is nothing to worry about 99% time, as to lactic acidosis it has been seen on uncompensated cirrhosis not on nomral compensated liver function but anyway take the test, i don't know in english but something like lactate level
lab tests in italian:
Esami di laboratorio:
- incremento dell'acido lattico (> 10 mmol/l)
- acidosi severa (bicarbonato < 20 mmol/l e pH arterioso < 7,3)
- aumento di transaminasi, CPK, LDH, lipasi e amilasi
- alterazioni della coagulazione e insufficienza renale.
