Dear all community member.my sister in law have chronic hbv. She have two child i have checked them for hbsag test result is non reactive.may be this is due to she is hbeag negative.so my question is that should i do another test for knowing that child have no hbv or this test is sufficient. I already vaccinated them for hbv. Thanks for help. Please clearify my doubt
Hbsag is the best marker. Since the children were vaccinated, you should test their HBsAb to make sure the vaccination was successful, hence offers protection.
