oh its real?if so , what about the immunized mother?.
in this article is written :
men suffering from hepatitis B, their sperm can be detected in hepatitis B virus DNA, the virus stored in the cytoplasm in the sperm head, sperm enter the egg, even though his mother without hepatitis, However, this fertilized egg in the formation of embryo process, the hepatitis B virus has also been proliferating, making the offspring become a hepatitis B patients or carriers of the virus, thus, this mode of transmission of hepatitis B virus, known as the father of infant communication.
thank you very much for your guid
I also hope the article isnnot correct
Fortunately my boy friend has a low viral load I hope more than past.
well said Stef2011. I think the poster should get vaccinated so should the baby after birth ( 12hrs ). The child should be okay
if you get the newborn vaccinated and treated by Hbig i dont see any possibility of trasmission and even if you were not hbv carrier hbv vaccine at birth is the only way to protect from hbv infection which can be transmitted by many other people during ur son life even when still a baby from other babies
babies carrying hbv are immune tollerant and get no damage from virus but they spread it because hbvdna is in the millions
thank you but I want to know can HBV Virus transmite from father to infant? I red in an article one mounths ago the link is:
http://www.mybased.com/Infections/Sperm-can-also-carry-hepatitis-B-virus---Chart-.html
1. the mother CAN be infected but not the baby directly, u can eliminate this by getting the mother (which is you) vaccinated
2. upon birth, baby an get infected if the mother is HBSAG+ (or HBV infected), 90% of the time this is the case and this is what happened to me and millions out there
3. when mother is HBSAG+ the baby can be injected with HBIG and HBV vaccine in the 1st 12 hours of the babies life outside the womb
I read the article you referred to. It is not a very well written article and some of the information is wrong.
I read too that dna of hbv has been detected in the cord blood of newly born infant where the mother is not HBsAg positive but the father is. It is a rare occurrence and the father has a high viral load. But it did not say whether the baby is HBsAg positive.
In my opinion, there is no documented case where Hepatitis B is transmitted to an infant via the sperm of the father. There is a difference between finding dna in the cell and for that dna to produce a new virus In your case, you must get vaccinated and so should your baby/babies when born This is just because a person close to you, your husband, is HBV positive.
To have more peace of mind, your husband should get treatment to reduce his viral load before you are planning to fall pregnant.
Just my opinion. Hope I git it right.
