concerned

I just have a few question's concerning hepatitis b.  A few months ago I had a sexual encounter, but we did not have sex and only engaged in mutual genital stimulation, with a woman that I later found out was questionable.  I do not have any evidence, however that she had hepatitis b.  Well following that and continuing off and on until now I have had many weird symptoms.  Abdominal pain and bloading, constipation and diaria, and a constant feeling of coldness in my bones and muscles.  My doctors have not detected any temperture but I think at times I either have a fevor or am below my average bottom temperature.  I have been to two doctors.  They have taken a standard blood test and said that my liver enzyme level is normal as is my thyroid.  The most recent doctor I have seen said it is most likely ibs, coupled with stress.  I am not so sure both because of the symptoms I have and because of her lack of certainty in her diagnosis.  So I guess the question I am asking is if there should be any concern for Hep b.  I had Hep. A before and this doesnt feel the same.  I am not jaundiced and do not have dark urine.  Thank you for your time.

Anyone who engages in any type of unprotected sex with a person they don't know is questionable; that means you too!  If you've done this with her chances are there have been others for you, too; Who knows what you might have passed along to her?

Make an appointment to see a DR, ask for HCV & HBV tests and then you will know for sure.  In the meantime, please get real about unprotected sex with strangers; YOU alone are responsible for any STD or blood borne disease...*!*!

There are no doctors here as this is a patient to patient forum.  That said, have you been tested for hepatitis?  A "standard" blood test won't detect it.  Sounds like you had a liver panel done.  It doesn't sound like hep to me, tho.  IBS sounds like a probable to me.
