confused with lab results

I am a hepatitis b carrier and have been for many years. I have lab work done evey year to check the virus.  Last year i had a +hbsag like i always have and also had a +anti-hbs.  I am hbeag- and anti-hbe+.  I just had my yearly lab work done today but according to my last years results, the dr thinks i might be  resolving the hep b virus on my own.  He wants to wait to see what this lab work shows that i had today before he makes his call.  I guess i am confused  because how can you have a +hbsag and then a +anti-hbs.  Please,  help me understand these results and how this is possible???
