developing Hepatitis B antibodies w/o vaccine??

I was testes positive for hep b core antigen and everything else negative (including all the antibodies and surface antigen). I'm writing to ask what are the chances of one developing antibodies for heb b without ever being vaccinated before? Is there a chance that one will eventually be immuned to Heb b viruse even if never had a vaccine in the past?

HBcAb (Hepatitis B Core Antibody) detects the presence of antibodies to the hepatitis B virus. In the absence of any other positive test, the presence of HBcAb suggests the individual had a past exposure to the hepatitis B virus, and it is unlikely he/she is infectious. There is also evidence to suggest that 30-50% of positive HBcAb tests in healthy blood donors are false positive. The hepatitis B core antibody does not become positive because of vaccination. Donors are deferred and notified after two occurrences.
