fibroscan/hepascore/MRI elastography
asked my doctor about fibroscan today.
she said not all insurance covers it so she ordered a hepascore for my blood test
and for the next MRI - an elastography.

She said these 2 give better info than fibroscan.
Any opinions on these 2 tests?

Hi, hepascore can predict extent of liver fibrosis in individuals infected with hepatitis virus. MR Elastography is a non-invasive method to detect and follow chronic liver disease. If the hepascore is raised your doctor may ask for a MR Elastography. And based on these tests if needed a biopsy can be planned. Regards.
