no but it doens t matter, the virus can t do nothing now, just check vitd25oh and intact pth and keep supplementing vit d3 when hbsag becomes available you may know if your slowly clearing hbv forever

thanks for the help .

HbsAg quant is not available in my country.
i can't even dream to have it.

can we predict my current states based on the above result .  hbeAg (+)or  (- ).?

you should check your hbsag quant, often low when immune system is able to do this but of course not all cases

no if you follow this community you should know that the most powerful immune response is by cytokines that purge cccdna from cells with no killing of cells

if hbvdna is low and alt normal is only by immune system also for logic, without it hbvdna would go in the millions and alt normal

Thanks you

if immunity involves here i assume ALT would be high, thats what i read if im not wrong,  ALP is very hight i dont know what means.

hbv is managed by your immune system, if you are not taking antivirals those results are perfect and need no treatment

also your worry for fibroscan 6.3kpa is wrong, that value is such mild fibrosis

Hi every one!   i have recieved my test result on Sep 21, 2015 .

Result

Viral Load 1013 iu/ml.
ALT:  19.6  iu/L
AST:   16.1 iu/L
ALP:         186.9 iu/L
Bilirubin:  total: 1.0 mg/dl
Albumin: 45.9 g/l
Creatinine: 0.7 mg/dl
GGT :          21.7 iu/L

they didnt include hbeAg ,  my understanding this looks  i was chronic, but i was sick very sick suffering all this Acute symptoms, i was expecting my viral Load to hit millions or at least High ALT range. i wonder what was causing  my symtoms if this is my lab result!!!

I am insufficient VitD25OH not deficient

its the same hbv carriers need high end of normal vitd25oh 80-100ng/ml and check intact pth at the same time because vitd25oh test alone is too poor to confirm sufficiency.vit d below normal can make liver fibrosis itself without any infection, fatty liver, does not protect for liver cancer, kidney function reduced 50% and so on

I am taking entecavir over 1 year, but never had test for fibrosis before this. I am insufficient VitD25OH not deficient. Taking 2000 IU. Seems better to increase dose. I have already decided to start taking milk thistle. Is it ok? Thank you for your helpful information.

no it is meanless to correlate but if even fibrosure values are so bad you better start treatment right away

tenofovir is the best antiviral for normal kidneys function

you must check vitd25oh and supplement 5000-10.000iu daily according to deficiency

Hi, I am  new to this community. Fibroscan is not available here. My fibrosure result is 0.61 (fibrosis score), diagnosed stage F3 (bridging fibrosis with many septa) cirrhosis. No biopsy. Any idea how to correlate fibrosure score to fibroscan?

Thank you for the information, I will call my insurance to find out. I would rather not take the drug IF my 6.3kpa fibroscan reading is ok and my liver is fine....I just hope my Doc wasn't trying to "misinterpret" the results to get my insurance to cover the drugs that I don't want to take in the first place....

I'm a health insurance broker in the US and I have heard of the fibrosis needed for Interferon or Hep C treatment, but not Viread (I'm sure there may be exceptions to this rule though).  Your insurance company may have a preferred and non-preferred.  I would call your insurance company and ask if Viread has any prior authorization, preferred/no preferred and if you will have any issues with this.  Good luck!

I'm Hbeag negative, HBeab positive....does this matter as far as the treatment goes?
I follow a strictly organic diet and supplement with milk thistle, vit D, B12, garlic, turmeric etc and feel great...would rather not start treatment given the side effects.

Are you Hbeag + ?

Take advantage of the Dr. & get your medication who knows you might seroconvert if your Hbsag < 1000iu/ml though your Kpa is not that bad.

Thank you again Stef, the doc wants me to take viread because of my stage 2 fibrosis as he noted. I've been doing some reading and saw that many insurance companies in the US won't approve these drugs unless fibrosis is in stage 2 or 3...could that have been the reason he "interpreted" my 6.3kpa result as f2? So that my insurer covers the costs of the drug? If that's the case, I'm mad :/

best values are at or below 5kpa but also around 6kpa there is extreme mild damage

Thank you for the advice Stef, i had a bad feeling about the doc anyway...will look for another one. I was already getting very depressed about the state of my liver until i found this thread saying otherwise..

you didn t have fibroscan but just fibroscore tests which are not reliable

It is not 100% thats why he said might as he doesn't want you to blame him if that doesn't happen. You are bellow 30, so for you, I would estimate (I am not expert in fibrosis regression) that there is 99% of chance that your liver will regress fibrosis if you get on nucs. It will take some time (maybe few years) for that to happen, it is a very slow process.

May I ask from you made that statement
Aduiski? I am interested in an official study/report. Doctor says, that entecavir "might" regress fibrosis. Regards
