help I need you advice

Hi, I am a newly board passer nurse and I was suppose to look for a job in  the hospital. one of the requirements was for HBs Ag testing. I was positive. I did the hepa b profile and it looks like it is a chronic hepatitis judging from the resuts., I am so down right now and I don't now what to do. Can I still be employed in the hospital? even if I have Chronic hepatitis B? or should I change my career path now? if you have any knowledge regarding this, please help.

"sana I could cope with that"

Don't need to hope, you will.  It's sensory overload right now.  You'll learn about the disease and learn to take care of yourself better.  Since you mentioned God,  He already gave you the gift of knowing.  In time you will understand why this is so so important.

Make sure you read our HepB Intro / Welcome Health page.  It's written for people such as yourself.

For us regulars, we've all been there.  We all have our challenges and fear when we first find out.  And with passing time, we learn, accept, and adjust.  So you are not alone.  Chances are many of your friends have HepB but just don't know it.  Be thankful knowing.  Learn HepB and learn how to take care of yourself and live a health full life.

Every country have different rules.  In the US, there certainly are doctors and nurses who have chronic HepB.  I know of at least a couple who work in hospitals.

Come back if you have questions, even just to forum chat.

Ingat ka, ha.

Nursing profession does involve invasive procedures which give the possibility of passing HBV to patients you help.  Could there be nursing positions that are research-oriented and do not present that risk?  Do some research on the internet and you may find a solution.  When you find a solution, please share here.  Thank you.

Best wishes.
