Sorry for the reason but glad you found your way here.  Please start by reading this:

Odds are very much in favor of your wife living a long, happy life with regular monitoring of her disease progression.  Come back with your questions after reading. Cheers.

Do you and your four children have positive anti-HBs?  If not, you could consider vaccination to make you immune and safer.

You are doing the right thing.  Before you develop anti-HBs, take precautions with your married life: safe sex, abstinance, etc.

The doctor gave my wife Zeffix and told her to take it for 1 year

Zeffix = Lamivudine is known to have poor resistance profile.  If your wife has to take it for long, she is likely to develop resistance, which is not good.  Ask her doctor about entecavir, which has much less resistance problem.

The doctor told us that she needs to take Zeffix for one year. after that she may get red of HB. pleasae give me advice. in order to enhance her resistance he told us to concentrate in food kind like honey and dates and camel milk

I am not sure what your doctor meant:  1.  the poor resistance profile of Zeffix can be read everywhere in the literature;  2.  all antiviral treatments try to control viral replication, not to clear HBV;  3.  "honey and dates and camel milk" are not often heard in Hep B treatment.  Could you ask your doctor for proofs of what he advised?

After your last advice we went to another doctor. He told us that the food have no relation with HBV ( as you said ) . He told us to stop the medicine and make another test after two months to see if the virus is active or not, if not then she do not need medicine.
Now i dont know what to do: i am afraid  my wifes health will be bad if we stop the medicine, please give me advice what to do : stop the medicine and wait for two months to make tests  or continue the medicine and then make tests ( will the medicine affect the tests result).
Thank You

Please be careful about suddenly stopping an antiviral therapy. Ask your doctor about tapering off...you can cause a flare by going off meds suddenly.

That said, I don't know if she hasn't been taking them long enough to matter.   She may not need the antiviral at all, not everyone does.  Or she may need them in the future but not now.  Ask your doctor.  I tend to agree that you cannot start an antiviral therapy based on ONE set of labs.  You need to see a series possibly done at 3 months intervals.  Some cases will be obvious for treatment or no treatment and many others will be more vague.  I would be inclined to stop the meds SAFELY.  Please ask your doctor how to stop the meds without causing a flare.

As zellyf pointed out, stopping medication needs careful monitoring by your doctor to avoid complications.  Please follow the advice of her doctor.

I took the second shot of vaccination. we tried to find entecavir but we didnt find it anyware . the doctor told my wife to stop the medicine waiting to the next test in feb.2009;he said that stopping the medicine will not effect her because she took only one course.
may i ask if we want to get another baby in the future what are the possibilities that he carries HB and what should we do to prevent that
Thank you

Entecavir is the same as Baraclude.

You should be able to have a second baby safely.  Just let the doctor know about her HBV status and complete vaccination in a timely fashion.

Please open a new thread for your questions.

You are close to delivery, you need to be monitored by a doctor.

Viread is considered safe but a category B drug during pregnancy. Means results are not certain. I wish you had taken the meds early on ...

Having said that - please check with your doctor and see how to protect your child.
