Need more help intepretting husbands diagnosis. chronic hepatitis with moderate activity and cirrhosis. 2+/4 parenchymal iron. Ludwig-Batt's grade 3, stage 4. understand the cirrohsis but not sure what the grade and stage mean.
the rest is not important, if cirrhosis you must treat in order to stay alive:
hbvdna must be undetactable as son as possible
hepatitistechnologies pack can regress cirrhosis or make it stable in case advanced
check serum iron and try to lower with liposomal glutathione if high
bmi less than 24 and weist less than 90cm by diet excercise
make fibroscan every 6 months to monitor improvment.biopsy cannot say the severity of cirrhosis, fibroscan can so if you have a chance make a fibroscan, values higher than 19-20kpa are in the range where complications might start, decompensated cirrhosis is usually around 25-30kpa
entecavir monotherapy if there are no hbv mutations
tenofovir+entecavir if test for mutations not available
ultrasound every 4-6months is also necessary to treat cancer on time in case it develops
