Hi, I am 30 yr, female. Recently I found that I've got this Hep B virus, below was my result :-
Viral Load - 105,434,500 IU/ml
3rd check-up : Current AST - 251 U/L & ALT - 371 U/L - which is higher than the 2nd check-up.
HBS Antigen - Reactive
HBE Antigen - Reactive
Medicine that I'm taking is : -
1. Zantac
2. Neurobine 150
3. Lamivudine 100g
I am wondering, is my Hep B cronic? and am I has been given a correct medicine?

MY HBSAG IS NON REACTIVE. MY ANTI-HBS IS ALSO NON REACTIVE AND MY ALT IS 67. NORMAL RANGE 30-65 ACCDG TO LAB RESULT. I HAD HEPA B VACCINE THREE DOSES, LAST MARCH, APRIL AND MAY, 2008. CAN ANUBODY INTERPRET THIS RESULT? DO I HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER VACCINE? BUT MY ALT IS OVER BY 2 POINTS. I AM 53 YEARS OLD.

chevy, actually I have a younger son( 24 & 29)... luv him to death, but hes a different bird... pain is not a deterrent... I have a hard time with that concept... although recent research into mice, shows a single gene that when present, life risking behavior, no problem, while the rest of miceys cower in the corner!!
whose the computer guru, I could post a video of him that defines my worries...

I could come home & have a purse full of em... didn't mean to.... they just fit so good in my hand & folks that swore that nobody could ever steal their lighter... would come knocking on my door the next day too reposess them... ofcourse to reclaim it, they had to bringtheirbongalong to pow wow & puff on the ol peace pipe.... so it wasn't a bad deal at all... Ha!

well he did a month of obgyn.... my mom told him Oh thats neat, he said thats not how he would describe it...

speaking of hairy or not -- I clipped my eyebrows this weekend. I pulled one out that was over and inch and decided -- I am not going to be Andy Rooney! I didn't do too good a job, so now I am kind of hairless in parts. Requires some kind of skill that I don't have.

Hey all, just stealing a moment on my host's computer. Amazing I remembered my MH password! The weekend's been nice, went to Antietam yesterday, very moving to walk where 20,000 men died on one sad day in our nation's history. Made me cry. But then, so does what is happening in the present.
Can-do and Fishy, good to meet you. Funny, I never thought of myself as an oldtimer here, but I guess I am. I rarely look in or post here these days, but did so fairly frequently during my 84 weeks of (unsuccessful) tx. BTW, I had my prostate taken out in 2002. The surgeon was a little stiff (got annoyed when I asked him if he was any good first time we met), but definitely human. I might take a look at that film though, get a doc's eye view of what was done.

michellski -- ha ha you reminded me of my first smoke! I was at girl scout camp between my junior and senior year of high school (yep --- I did the whole GS thing - graduated from GS when I grad from high school) Anyhoo it was counselor-in-training camp and lasted a month. They had dug us big girls a brand new spanking out house -- all ours. Didn't stink or nothin'-- so a bunch of us started hanging out up there and the smokers lit up, and the rest in history.... we'd just sit in there on those open holes and lit up and talk up a storm. Sure was fun. You know how they treated poison ivy at that time? Made us all sit on the side of the hill with a basin or water and and plastic scrubby like you use to clean dishes and break every blister open. Sounds gross, but that scratchin sure felt good.
