hey,
about two months ago, i had an unprotected sex with a girl... and last week ive learned she might be hepatit b.
today i went to hospital for some blood tests because i feel so tired and i sleep about 10-12 hrs in a day. the doctor advised me to do blood tests for hepatitis b. but i cant get my test results until 28.08.08 is there anything that i can do before that date? because i feel that, this date will be too late for me to have some precautions...

thank you

Be liver friendly:

    *  Avoid drinking alcohol. Alcohol speeds the progression of liver disease.
    * Avoid medications that may cause liver damage. Your doctor can advise you about these medications, which may include over-the-counter (OTC) medications as well as prescription drugs. It's especially important to avoid using acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), which can cause liver damage even in healthy people.
    * Eat the healthiest diet you can. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. Healthy foods help keep you strong, give you more energy and support your immune system. If you're nauseated, try eating small meals throughout the day. Choose foods that are soothing and easy to digest, such as soups, broths or a plain baked potato. A registered dietitian can be especially helpful if you have weight loss or trouble eating.
    * Get regular exercise. Exercise helps increase your strength and energy levels.
    * Get enough sleep. Rest when you need to.

You are adult when infected if you are indeed infected, you have 90-95% chance of clearing the HBV by your immune system natually.

ive just recieved my blood test results:

HDL cholesterol: 22mg/dL                reference value: 35-55

hemogram results:

LY%       41.5%                              reference value: 19.40-44.90

LY#         3.7 10^3/uL                      reference value: 1.3-3.5

the other results seems normal. but i havent recieved my HBsAg results yet.
before that date, does the lymphocyte results means to me that this is a start of Hepatitis B or another viral infection?

sorry for hastiness and thank you again.

Not sure.  The direct test is HBsAg.
