i was diagnosed of hepatitis b(hbsag +) during routine tests conducted wen i was 4 months pregnant with my daughter. immediately i put to bed hbv immunoglobulin was administered on her as well as the hbv vaccine. however as she grows older and wants to eat more adult foods, i usually pre-chew the food for her so that she can enjoy it. everytime i do dis, i get scared because i always have a feeling that she might be exposed to the virus (even scared of conducting a test on her to be sure). is der a need to take her for hbv test?
P.S - i did a full abdominal scan about 3 months ago and all my organs were fine except that i have a fatty liver. my doctor then recommended that i do the hbv dna and hbeantigen test to determine if i need to commence treatment but i havent been able to conduct the tests cos i dnt av money yet for it but i hope to do it soon enough.
