as regards immune system, aids and so on, oxidative stress is the most important test and as decleared by montagner is there is no oxidative stress and immune system is working normally, hiv can be cleared in weeks many times in a persons life
on the contrary unhealthy habits destroy immune system and in that case whatever the virus it is very easy to get it cronic, hbv in adults never get cronic unless these adults use drugs, immune suppressive drugs and so on and have already damaged immune systems

vitamin d3 serum levels >50ng/ml a you can see in our posts are also able to keep low hbvdna and prevent liver damage

nothing to share with hiv, hbv is very well studied, hiv is still not purified so i dotn even believe hiv/aids connection as many nobel prices, the discoverer montagner included, have recently decleared

also be aware the hbvdna viral load is useless to define the status of hbv infection and is just a measure of how antivirals are working (drug makers just pushed on it in the past to make it eaier to get patients on life time drugs) but today we know that serum tests dont show what happens in the liver and only hbsag quantity in iu/ml can show if we are clearing hbv together with hbvdna viral load

the real tests are biopsy quantification of hbsag, hbcag and hbvdna and cccdna but of course it is not possible to biopsy all patients for this

so the tests required to define hbv status are:
fibroscan, the only tool to detect and monitor liver damge, every 6-12months
hbsag quantification in iu/ml
hbvdna pcr

hbsag is also a must for the therapy i posted because without this you cannot see if therapy is working and you are clearing hbv

Thank you stef2011. I have just been diagnosed and in the early stages of testing for viral load. I will need all the information and I can get on this. Also, how related is hbv to hiv

hbv is not deadly unless you go old wihout knowing u have hbv and fall in to the 10% of hbv carriers that develop cirrhosis or hcc after a lifetime carrier

there is only one treatment to cure hbv, sequential treatment with tenofovir for 1-3 years and then peginterferon add on for 2 years
