liver biopsy necessary ??

Hi stef again.

3 days ago i was first time by doctor in clinic of infectious diseases.

They made me test hbv pcr ( no hbsAg quanity, they said this is no needed WOW !!! - ignorant).

I made privately fibrotest and fibroscan 3-4 months ago, but doctor said maybe they wanted to do me liver biops.

I don't want liver biopsy, is this necessery if a have fibro -scan -test ?

I asked her about entecavir or tenofovir , but she said i have to be qualification, if not. i won't get drugs.

I ask if can buy privately, but this is very expensive i heard.
Average salary is 2500, but entecavir on tenofovir costs i think maybe 2000-2200.

Wild country. They have own rules, no rules for people, and any updates.

The less the virus the more the liver damage because it is your immune system to make the damage and not the virus

Anyway very little choices, tenofovir for 3-5years and then peg add on is the best/only cure available now, you should try get tdf from healthcare because hbvdna is more than 2000iu/ml

Why?

I thought, good liver so little hbsAg and hbv dna ?

So why my liver isn't dameged if a lot hbsAg.

27.000iu/ml rule out pegintf try, too little chances.hbvdna>2000iu/ml should allow treatment according to european guidelines

little tdf would be best choice to slowly lower hbsag by 5 to 10 years

vit d will help your liver and general health but i dont thin that is able to change hbvdna or hbsag quant.anyway nothing to lose, no sides/cheap.check vitd25oh and pth every 3 to 6months, goal is the vitd level which makes pth around 20pg/ml or less

My fibroscan is 4,3 kPa  = F0/F1

Fibrotest is: F0 (test result = 0.18)
                    A0 (test result = 0.08)
Fibroscan was 4 months ago, fibrotest 3 months ago.

They said that fibroscan and fibrotest can show untrue view ma liver, but biopsy show true. There are procedures here, to qualification to treatment they must do liver biopsy.

i guess italy, france and spain may be the cheapest

italy paying privately:
hbsag quant about 50€, 7€ for residents at public hospital
fibroscan from 50 to 100€

but even if you find low hbsag that you can clear by peg you would have to buy generic peg in india or countries around there, so it is difficult path anyway

Healthy system for hep b is prehistory.

Doctor said me, they have lamivudine for people. not want to hear about hbsAg quantity, they say go home and be happy, not worry about hep b.

post fibroscan results and your tests results

why did they say they want a biopsy (they have to explain clear because it is expensive, invasive and has even a very low percentage of death risk).so biopsy must be well justify

you may travel in countries where hbsag quant is cheap, the choices cannot be clear without it

same in my country, when i was in Romania, they just started to know about hbsag quant.  i did in private labs hbsag quant, then i did fibroscan, they asked me just for fibromax and hbvdna..not necessarly ignorant..if the system is old, like in my country, doctors have no power
