longterm treatment for Hepatitis B

Hi, I have had a treatment for Hepatitis B for over a year. First I took Baraclude for 6 months ( one pill each day). the amount of virals reduced from 8 point to 4 point then virals was steady at 4 point. After that doctor gave 2 pills Baraclude and 1 pill Hepsera per day. virals reduced to 3 point for first three months then they were steady again. Now doctor asks for injection, other kind of medicine, or stop using the medicine for awhile. Please give me an idea, go with injection, other medicine, or change doctor( look like doctor doesn't have a clue). And medicines for Hepatitis B have any side effects in future if I take too much everyday (3 pills a day). thanks

Im living in the Philippines and wondering if there could be any alternative medicines or therapy that could lessen or totally erase this virus since the medicines you are mentioning are not yet available here. Have a read on this website about interferon

http://www.hon.ch/Library/Theme/HepB/inf.html

It seems the dr has first tried the treatment of just antivirals, but is not happy with the response. So he is trying inteferon which has some side effects.

What country are you living in? It looks like the dr knows what he is doing since he is trying combo therapy.
Most dr's who aren't up to speed start you off on Lamuvidine.

I don't know what the 'injection' drug you are talking about , unless it is 'inteferon'.
