Sorry we cannot suggest anything as we are not doctors here. Your grandfather is still young and the liver is a very resilient organ. Ascites can be managed by drainage and/or injection of Albumin. It is very good that he has not lost appetite and eating. So do consult with your doctors to put him on an appropriate diet to build up his weight again. Always hope for the best.

He must see a liver doctor for his Hepatitis B, he needs to see a doctor about his diabetes also. Both conditions are treatable. There are very good oral drugs taken daily for his Hepatitis B, don't delay. Same with his diabetes.
