my results

Finally here are my results : What cane be made out of all this ?

HBsAG      -   Positive   ( 11 ...some units )
LFT        -   SGPT       ( 50 ) one more than normal . else all normal
Anti HBcIgm  -   Negative
HBeAg         -  Negative

1.i was detected couple of months ago .accidentaly.
2. Is it a good thing that i got detected accidentally ?
3. Having said that now as I know i havea problem what can I do to prevent further damage ?
4. is it in early stage ??
5. is the only i can do is WAIT and WATCH ? or there is anyting which can help me prevent it go further which happens in most of diseases that a early diagnose helps to cure it early.
6. From your exp and from what you ahve read how many years do you think can I stay healthier ?without medicienes ?
7. Any way to find out WHEN could i have accquired the disease ?
8. My brother who is 8 yrs younger than me was tested positive 3 yrs back ...and his results are same they are for me right now .....

--So you can be careful, in this sense yes.

--Be liver friendly.

My doc says there is nothing to do as of now, what does he mean ..Iam all good or what ?

It's hard to comment on your one set of labs without additional information.  You one set of labs just shows you have HepB.  Everything else would result in an answer of "theiotically it is possible, cant say,  cant comment" , but that's not helpful to you.

--series of tests reveal what one test does not.

For my question no 6 you said "Depends " what does is depend on ?

--Depends on your changes of ALT/AST HBV DNA etc.

Liver panel test is it same as Liver Function Test ??/ as I have gone through LFT ( liver function test ) ...

in LFT they checked my SGPT SGOT count etc ..

Getting those markers will help to clarify the picture.

My guess is that you are probably in the immuno-clearance stage since your HBeAg is negative and SGPT 50.  Your body is attacking and trying to establish control over the virus so to limit its activity.  Most individuals chronic infection does this successfully without you doing anything other than living a liver friendly lifestyle.  If you have the means, you may want to treat with antivirals at this stage, to speed the process up and to reduce the viral load to minimize risk for mutations.  

You should continue to monitor with routine labs to monitor your status.  Understanding status means following the lab trends.  One set of labs don't tell you much.

Thanks a lot for your inputs .. actually my doctor suggested only these test so I havent done any .. Its been 6 months now and now Iam going for the tests again ...

I was diagnosed 5 months back and I say it with a lot of shame that I hardly changed my lifestyle a bit .. I was still drinking , eating junk food .. smoking , chewing tobacco ..with no excercise ...

I have been expereincing pain just right side of my navel .. whenever iam excreting or eating something .. or sitting with folded legs ... it doesnt seem to be very acute and deep .. i feel the pain on the surface .. and it goes on it own .. does this have something to do with my condition .. I have a history of duodenal ulcer ( which i cleard long back ) and of upset stomach ..( food particle in stool ) ...... now does all these condition condition indicate something ???? please tell me
Iam admitting all this before u all as Iam so ashamed of myself ..

the only good thing i did was to take some ayurvedic medicine for about 1.5 months ....

I will be going for the lab test this month please suggest all the test that I and my brother should go thru ....
