Please kindly keep your posts all in one thread so that it is easier to follow . you can use the box below to add posts to your existing thread instead of starting a new one

if you tested postive to it a couple of days later then maybe .. and thats maybe your doctor is correct. virus does not neccessarly need to formulate for several weeks before you are infected of it but the fact your tested postive to hbsag that quick would give the impression that you did already have the virus before and didnt know about it.

informing former partners is an ethical dicision you will have to make on your own .

now things you will need to  do now is run a full HepB profile to know where out stand with this virus.. things you need to test for ( your doctor would know anyway) are hbsag ( which you know you are postive to, hbsab, hbeag,hbcab,hbv dna, liver panel for your ALT and AST
that way , these tests will determine your current status with the virus

yes a test would be able to tell if this is acute or chronic
