please help me

hi i had two encounters and both were safe sex with a condom but in the 1st episode i think the fluid on the condom must have touched my urethra but 74 days after that surface antigen test was negative and its been only 19 days after second episode (both were with a sex worker) and i had used a condom from begining till the end but the lady had her periods and 12 days after my sex with the 2nd lady i got her tested she was negative on the surface antigen test. in both the cases i did kissing not long and not deep but ya little deep and i am not sure if there was a saliva exchange(mostly i dont think). there was also fingering involved but no cuts on the finger as far as i checked it.

please tell me what should i do my doctor tells me i am at a big risk and she say i should test 120 days after each episode. please also do let me know the exact window period for hepatitis b and should i test for hepatitis c as well?

ok i have done my test even the surface antibody test and surface antigen test 10.5 weeks after my 1st episode which came  -ve and 15 days after my 2nd epsode -ve. so the sexworker i had sex with the 2nd time i got her tested for hcv and hbv 12 days after i had sex with her and she was -ve so  am guessing what can b the probabilities of her being in her window period thats it. (by the way i was myself relaxed from this stress of mine reading u ppls posts)

Hi Scott, I just wanted to say that you have good information to post here and I, for one enjoy reading your comments.  I believe Thanbey has good information to post here too and I appreciate her posts equally.
The debates between the two of you make me think for myself.  Anyone who enters into this tx program without weighing the pros and cons, is in my opinion, doing themselves a great dis-service.  We can't just ignore the negative sx of tx because we don't like them, information is power.  I know someone personally, a medical doctor, who has been living with Hep C and without treatment; for many, many years.  She has no liver damage.  My infection would appear to be less than one year old, I have no liver damage and I chose treatment.  This virus behaves differently in each of our bodies, that much we know and our choices are different in how we deal with our infections.   We don't all think the way you do and we don't all think the way Thanbey does, but we all (I would imaagine) appreciate hearing from both of you equally.
Something to consider is that the only difference I've noticed between the two of you in the posts I've read, is that Thanbey never makes any personal attacks against you.
Please keep posting the information, it's invaluable to all of us.
Thank you.

I need to get my eyes checked, but with these meds I thought I should put it off till after tx.  Any ideas old wise ones?  You girls are a hoot, I got a good belly laugh outta your posts.  I really cannot remember why I was gonna post here though....
Ameribrit, the switch from the 2 Riba in AM and 3 in PM to 3 in AM and 2 in the PM - i dunno, if it helps you thats great, I will try it.  They say to get to sleep more easily you should avoid the computer and the TV!  GREAT, Ive been doing THAT all wrong!  Guess reading is the best way to get drowsy at nite.

Auggie/OHC here, over and out!

Thanbey, congratulations on your anniversary. I'm planning to renew my license this year, too:).

On tx, sx?  Read the sx of every medication on the market today; what woman would ever take the birth control pill if she thought the sx pertained to her only?  Having said that, we all need to hear both sides, stay informed and then make our decisions after discussing our individual cases with our healthcare professionals.

Btw, since switching Riba, 200mg from 2 each am and 3 each pm, to 3 am and 2 pm, I am sleeping much better without Ambien. Has anyone else experienced success with this approach?  Are you guys having your eyes checked regularly?  If not, please give it serious consideration.

It's so nice to read that you're all laughing:).

The _________ is not you. the link leads to a page where this person reprinted several of our statements when answering her statements. It was confusing at first to understand until I noticed it was our quotes.

I share the same concerns you expressed in the previous post, but when I first came here a year ago and hung around long enough to hear both sides of the argument I got a pretty good idea of what to expect on or off tx.   If they don't hang around long enough, they miss the better picture; and now with the disclaimers , an intelligent person can take what they read with more caution, hopefully.
It is the constant  reminders of the negatives of the meds that can rub the wrong way.   WE KNOW already, we chose to go ahead anyway, let us be. we are not blinded.
we need people like amerabrit to come in and balance the picture we are painting of the tx for those considering it.  I remember being scared of its effect on my body, but my intellect told me that I could not possibly know its effect on ME until it was tried.

I love your perspective on the various subjects surfacing in the forum. Keep posting it, please.

Yes I think he must of used a condom on his tongue too, avoiding the nasty saliva exchange.  No self-respecting hooker would kiss a client anyways. (learned that from Pretty Woman) He should be a tad more worried about AIDS than hep C which is blood to blood contact.

Since you asked....

I think I will celebrate this anniversary of my marriage to my wonderful husband  by doing  appropriate research as you have suggested.

Enjoy your day.

Well.....here's the scoop on Hep B. It can take (usually) 1-4 months for the bloodwork to show infection. This can take up to 6 months in some cases. Pick your testing points according to your fear level.
I would not worry too much about Hep C if you did not have cuts or blood involved and you used condoms.
Now that we're done with the "clinical" stuff you asked about....I have a few questions.
Why don't you just get immunized for hep A & B ? If you're gonna engage in this high risk behavior then why not protect yourself ??? It could save you a LOT of worry and grief.
I am REALLY curious about this "sorta" deep kissing ....WITHOUT a saliva exchange?? Is this really possible? I mean, I may not be the brightest bulb in the lamp, but this intreauges me. I think this could require research.

Hey Chevy.....want to join my new research study? You "somehow" seem a likely candidate. Lets title it...."Dry Kissing...possibilities and probabilities". Try this with your "Gent" and report back. I expect a FULL report....over "Many" attempts. (He can thank me later)
All you others can join in 2. It sounds like a good way to find out the truth on this. Just decide if you feel saliva or not.....and how many times. I figure about 4 hours of kissing should be enough.  Sounds pretty simple to me.
I wonder if I can actually get a governmant grant for this? Hey THANBEY.....What do ya think?
Hahahahahahahaha
(sorry......I just could NOT resist this)
