results analysis

  please help me analyse my test results.i've got Liver function test and HbsAg test done.

   serum direct bilirubin       1.4 mg/dl
   serum indirect bilirubin      1.0 mg/dl
    SGPT                              22 lU/L
    SGOT                              19 lU/L
   alkaline phosphatase         72 U/L
    total proteins                     7.1 mg/dl
   albumin                         3.9 gm/dl
   globulin                           3.2 gm/dl
  ratio                           1.2%

     is there any test to find out how long i've been infected???

so where is your hbsag test result ?

your liver function results are fine but u havent stated ur hbsag result

it says i am HBsAg positive. i shall post the counts of HBeAg, anti HBeAg and anti HBcAg in a couple of days.... which test do i take to know how long ago i've been infected?

no test will tell you how long you've been infected..

you will not know .. you have to go back in time and try to give it a guess but other than this you wont find out when.. mostly going to be irrelevant by time.. u know u have it and u know u need to take care of it


ps: a test will tell you if you are acute or chronic.. if you're acute then you've been infected less than 6 months. if you're chronic then there is no mehod to know how long you've had the virus

These type of questions usually indicate that you were infected when you were at a very young age, infant, baby young.  Because if you were infected at a time when you could remember being so sick, you are already older.
