staggered interferon/nuc therapy

http://archive.mail-list.com/hbv_research/message/20100512.134007.9780beb1.en.html

this is very interesting, i have also read in the past about staggered interferon/lam results, the nucs help revover immune system and interferon becomes more active in non responders

interferon/nucs combo results, not staggered:
int+lam weaker
int+adefovir stronger hbsag decline and seroconversion
int+ltd very stong, 2logs hbsag decline in just 12-24 weeks, but very heavy sides as miophaty so they stopeed trial
int+etv still on trial
int+tdf still on trial
int+truvada there are clinicl cases of hbs seroconversion in less than 1 year on hbv+hdv infection, i don't think there are trials on this yet

among our alinia gruop we have a patient on interferon+ntz, the best in this case is 12 weeks ntz and after ntz+interferon (like on hcv trials)

here we have examples of inf+nucs combos, these are the first combo with very very weak antivirals lam and adefovir, starting from adefovir we see an increase of seroconversions and cccdna decline.today we have a very strong decline in 12-24 weeks with telbivudine combo but unfortunately there may be heavy sides.
we know wait for tdf and etv combo results and hope for stronger cccdna/hbsag decline

we are about 10 persons now trying nitazoxanide (alinia), on combo there are persons on etv+ntz, interferon+ntz, lam+tdf+ntz, lam+adv+ntz and ntz monotherpay.

some have resistant hbv, many are asians with very very high dna loads, some are hbe neg caucasians with low dna, low hbsag
