stef.. need your help

In Nov-13, I was detected for HBV.
HBSAG (88 IU/ML), HBEAG -ve, HBVDNA 2500 IU/ML, ALT-28

In Feb-14, HBVDNA was 600 IU/ML, ALT 22

In June-14, HBVDNA dropped to 65 IU/ML, HBSAG 40 IU/ML, ALT 21

I have two questions:

1. Is my virus sero-converting? (I read some research that <200 IU/ML.. If HBSAG drops sequentially, the chances are high that virus is seroconverting.)
2. If not, Shall I take some medications to assist the process??

Is it common that his ALT stays normal when his immune system cleans up hbsag and hbv dna? I thought that in such case there will be always some ALT increase less or more ?
Does HBeAg- has some influence or it doesn't matter in that case ?

did you correct vitd25oh to 100ng/ml?and atthe same time checked intact pth when vitd25oh is at 100ng/ml?

that s the only thing that can help speed up hbsag loss

if hbsag has reached 20iu/ml in such a short time you ll clear in the following 5 to 10years

please let us know how hbsag changes after vitd25oh becomes 100ng/ml stable for 6-8months-to do this you need vit d3 10.000iu daily, drink at least 2L of water daily

I beleive doctors could tell if it was acute or chronic from your hbv blood test. You have a very good chance to eliminate it by yourself however pegint my speed up the process

In Nov-13, I was detected for HBV.

HBSAG (88 IU/ML), HBEAG -ve, HBVDNA 2500 IU/ML, ALT-28

In Feb-14, HBVDNA was 600 IU/ML, ALT 22

In June-14, HBVDNA dropped to 65 IU/ML, HBSAG 40 IU/ML, ALT 21

In Sept-14, HBSAG 32 IU/ML, ALT 21

In Dec-14, HBVDNA Undetected (<20), HBSAG 25 IU/ML, ALT 20

Have not taken any medicine. My question is:

Given that both HBVDNA and HBSAG have fallen steadily, is it safe to assume:

1. That my infection isnt there since birth and it has happened recently?
2. That my body is fighting with HBV virus still, therefore, it may eliminate the virus in next couple of months?

buy peginterferon yourself, add vitamin d3 20.000iu daily and have doctor monitor response to peginterferon

also check calcium in urine monthly and avoid all dairies products, drink 2.5l of water daily while on vit d3 20.000iu

Hi Stef, could you please sight some study (reserach work) which builds a case of treating patients based on hbsag marker? Frustrating it is that docs in india refuse to give medicines for patients whose hbvdna<2000 iu/ml. You have been vociferously recommending treatment for people like us whose hbsag<200 iu/ml.

Just for ref. my hbvdna is 65iu/ml, hbsag is 34iu/ml. Normal ALT.

as your doctor for natural compounds first or paracetamol and if they dont work go for what he says

first of all you need to find the reason of headache and then try the light drugs for that like paracetamol in correct doses (paracetamol overdose is very toxic  to the liver as most drugs are)

hi.. I have had headache for past one month. My GP has recommended flunarizine. Is it okei to take it for hbv-ers??

milk is not ok, it is full of ormones, antibiotics and crap food given to the animals.calcium from milk is also not beneficial to the bones and kinetics of calcium/vit d

use oat milk with no calcium added

yes you are right

vitd is deficient as all hbver and pth shows your vit d receptors are not blocked, so you will benefit from a level of 90-100ng/ml

it is best to take daily vit d3 instead of weekly/monthly, all studies found benefit from daily because the levels stay stable (weekly or monthly makes flares of vit d when you take it and then go down).10.000iu daily would be best

Thanks Stef. Two points:

1. My HBSAG reports reads as follows:

Immunoassay
HBSAG Screening (Serum, CMIA)   Reactive (39.88) IU/ML

Am I right in interpreting that my HBSAG is 39.88 IU/ML? The same number was 80, 6 months ago.

2. My Vit d3 is 29 and PTH is 22.5. My doc suggested cholecaliferol granules 60000 iu/ml every week for 4 weeks... with milk... he is right???

if not advanced you can manage diabetes and lower or discontinue metformin

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/09/02/diabetes-most-of-what-youve-been-told-may-be-wrong.aspx

getting vitd25oh to 90-100ng/ml is the first and most important step together with getting pth to lower range of normal 11-20pg/ml
discontinue everything from dairies and use oat milk with no calcium added to it, drink 2l of water daily
also fish oil can help a lot, dha+epa must be at least 2,5g per day and fish oil certified no/very low mercury or pcb (few brands like this, nordic naturals for example)

recheck everything in 6months of diet and vit d, of course this is very beneficial to liver and general health too

Yes. It's type 2. I am on metformin. 1000mg a day.

Thanks Stef for all the assistance..and keep up the good work u are doing. It's altruism indeed.

is it diabetes 2?are you on vit d3 and special diet or drugs?

that will make your risk of liver cancer extremely high, diabetes is the worst thing for liver and liver cancer unless you reverse that naturally without drugs

although diabetes alone take hcc risk to more than 30% it is best to get rid of hbv and not add other risk

My docs sound confident in not recommending anything as my virus is silent!

my god this type of words is more from witches than doctors, anyway while it is so called silent you can cure hbv once and for all and it worths the sides effects of peginterferon....if the virus is replicating and hbsag higher peginterferon will not cure anything more than 7% of patients, this is criminal.i think they are just ignorant  and they dont know how to cure hbv, look for the most expert liver specialist and when you ask for appointment require "cure of hbv by personalized peginterferon treatment according to hbsag levels" if they are not able to do this dont even waste time and money to take appointment

of course there can be sides effects to peginterferon, even severe, but this is the only way we are getting cured, if you feel you can t tollerate them you just stop peginterferon and keep hbv
