Yes and I thank u all for your answers
well she did everything correct then, no hbv whatsover
I know and thank u for your answer she tested me 5 months prior to the hepatitis b test and I was negative at that time too ... The reason I got tested was because I had an exposure vaginal unprotected sex 5 months ago ... When the incident just happened that same week she tested me the exam came back non reactive and we did another follow test at 5 months after the exposure and she did the hep b core ab ,igm and again non reactive she told me that I was clear and by move on she meant that I didn't have to worry about contracting hep b from that incident and to stop thinking about it ... And I spoke with her and some doctors yesterday and they told me that this exam will only be valid to show a recent infection from the past 6 months ...
I don't have a good answer for your questions. Obviously we are missing some information here, it is best to ask your doctor. Just guessing, it may make sense just to have the HBCAb Igm test if your doctor has a clear knowledge that you are Hepatitis B negative prior to the test. Still, what does "moving on" mean?
Yes here in US they don't provide you the details as what happened to me, they just tell you are diagnosed with HBV that's it! My specialist couldn't tell me even my HBVdna.
adults clear hbv by immune system so you have nothing to worry in any case, it gets chronic at birth
just test hbsag, hbsab, hbcab igg at least so you know, these are stupid cheap tests, usually ready same day at good labs
At the back of my test there is a description of all what u said before it reads test marker
Hbsag
HBeag
Hep b core ab
Hepb core ab
Hbeab
Hbsab
And is says for reference us only and then on the final report say hepatitis b b core ab,igm Non reactive units titer
I'm really sorry I really got worried now .... Should I just move on or not .... I'm really freaking out now ...
most doctors and liver specialists are totally ignorant about hbv, testing hbcab igm alone is useless (hbcab igm is negative on chronic hbv carriers too)
you have to test all at the same time possibly so you have a clear picture of everything (new infection, past infection, already a chronic carrier, vaccinated when young...):
hbsag
hbsab
hbcab igg
hbcab igm
and also I checked and over the years is the same type of exam she has used before
And that's not the exam I did ? I'm sorry I didn't understand ... She did that exam and told me it was conclusive to move on ...

The definitive test for Hepatitis B is the test for HbsAg. If it is negative, then you don't have Hepatitis B. If it is positive, then the doctor may test for HBcAB Igm to see if the infection is acute or chronic.
Thank you for your reply ... The test was hepatitis b core ab , igm it came back non reactive ...
The Hepatitis B tests involve detecting the presence of various Hepatitis B viral proteins, such as the surface antigens and e-antigens, their respective anti-bodies and the core antibodies. They should not be affected by valtrex. Not knowing exactly tests were actually carried out and their results, we can give no opinion, but I would say you can trust your doctors.
