Could someone explain these results please ?
Hep B surface antigen = Detected
Hep B core antibody = Detected
Hep Be antigen = Not detected
Anti HBe = Detected
Anti HBc 1gm = Not detected
Liver function results are normal

This looks like chronic carrier. You need to find out what your HBV DNA is next. But your Hep Be antigen is negative and you Anti-HBe is positive which is very good for chronics. Are you on meds?

No Im not on meds or ever have been. Am a chronic carrier since infection age 5... probably infected by re-used needle during blood test in eastern europe.Im now aged 21. Havent been offered HepB DNA.What exactly is that test please ?
