the worst thing which the hepatitis brings me is the discrimination but not the harm to my body. this does really upset me. my hbv-dna test is negative,the function of the liver is normal too. however, the hepatitis b test still shows that the hbsag, hbsab and hbesag are postive.that makes me so difficult to find a job.because in china you have to take some medical examination before you become one staff of the company,once they found you are a hbv-carrier,they just say no but nothing.is that fair?  my ability was beaten by those tiny virus? in other country there are many laws against the discrimination ,but in china there is nothing . when can we hbv carriers be treat fairly?  discrimination --my forever agony. anyway i have to face the reality. now i have some questions. can the hbsag, hbsab,hbesag be cleared?

thanks! thanks!!~~i don't know what to say but thanks. you give me courage, i would stay the course. in china at present , things can not be changed a lot, discrimination will exist in a large areas.but never mind, i belive that one day discrimination would erased from most of the chinese. thank you for giving me so many advices, expecially is magnum  ..i feel warm in my heart. i think the discrimination aginst hbv carriers comes from the fear for  being infected, this is resonable in my opinion. in that political evronment is unable to change a lot in the coming future,and i have to put my every hope on the medical advancemnet.

That is so unfair that they're able to discriminate agianst you while you're trying to find employment.  You're right, here in America, we have the American's With Disabilities Act and others to prevent discrimination.  Most of us here on this site have hepatitis c virus.  I have, however, read some about hepatitis b and from what I understand, most people's bodies clear the virus by themselves and don't need treatment.  If you don't clear, then you have chronic hepatitis b and are infected for life and will continue to be infectious.  There are treatments and I'm not sure if those will cause a cure for people infected with hbv. Sounds like a government problem, not a treatment problem. You most certainly will have to deal with the government on an issue like that. Discrimination in China is nothing new and with the Human Rights abuses, you're better off going to another country if you really fear your condition is very bad. This is one more reason we Americans should be very happy to live in a country that takes care of theirs.

Don't you have any Human Rights advocates in China? That would be the best place to start. I do't know if you can file a formal discrimination complaint with the governement or your providence, but I would try anything and everything. The best of luck to you and try to go to a European country if your government will allow. You may have to do it in a clinical trial if they will accept you....
