one of my female friend has hbsag+ve. we consult to doctor and we check hbeag and hbsab. but there is hbeag -v and hbsab +ve. we also check hbv and it say 150 hbv. is she acute or chronic. is there any risk of getting serious. doctor says that she will be ok within one year or more.
If she is both HBsAB+ and HBsAg+, she is at a changing stage. Rest more and eat liver-friendly to help her change for the best.
she must check monthly if hbsag is decreasing and if hbsag is not negative by 6-12 months she has cronic hbv
the form hbsag positive and hbsab positive cronic hbv is less common and most of the doctors are not aware of it, it is due to an hbsag mutation so hbsab is useless
tell her to check hbsag quantitative (not qualitative) and hbvdna pcr, alt/ast monthly, both hbsag and hbvdna must decrease if she is not cronic
also hbcab igm negative means cronic hbv but not 100%
