I have chronic hep b and had sexual intercourse with my wife. She had a test on hbsag and the result is negative, so i advised her to have vaccine 1st vaccine Dec.2011, 2nd vaccine Jan.2011 and her upcoming vaccination will be on june 2011. Can i infect my wife if we have sex between months of feb or march.????
when you get infected you can delay infection by immune globlins (anti-hbsag) and get vaccine to work
the immune globulins are antibodies extracted from the blood of people immune to hbv so when you get infected they block hbsag
of course immune globulins can stop the very small quantity of virus when you get infected but once the virus reaches the liver it produces such hi quantities of hbsag that there is nothing left to prevent the infection.
use hbv immue globulin sorry i donot get you can you please explain it.
the vaccine should have been made next day but as long as hbsag is negative, use also hbv immune globulins so if you got infected hbsag appearance will be delayed
