what i can do to stop taking Viread for hep B

when is it possible to stop taking Viread please help.

I have been on viread for over 8 years and each time the virus is always negative in the blood but hbsag risen up to 12000 recently and I have been taking this viread everyday. Today my kidney is showing serious sign of weakness « creatinine-117umol/L and 13,2mg/L. CKD-EPI -67. DFG afro-américain - 78) can i stop viread now because it is damaging my kidney seriously ?

Consult with your dr you may switch to either entecavir or taf

it makes no sense to stop it wasting the chance to clear hbv definitively, if you are on viread for 2-3 years add on peginterferon to it and follow how hbsag clears on this combo by checking hbsag quant every 3 months

make sure your vitd25oh is 80-90ng/ml if not take vit d3 5000 to 10.000iu daily to increase it and vit k2 400mcg to reguate calcium kinetics

It depends. Most people take nucs for 3-5 years. Then stop if dna is undtectable. Then you monitor your responce. If immune system is holding the virus. You.may not need treatment for some time. But in most cases with nucs virus comes back.

Only interferon  has the ability to give a sustained  responce and clear hbv.

They prescribe us nucs because it is popular now. But the truth is only people with advanced liver disease need them .

Healthy young people.should do interferon treatment of 6-12 months. Sometimes repeated course helps.
