You are asking that if you have HepB, is it better to be

HBeAg NEG with HBeAb POS

or

HBeAg POS with HBeAb NEG

This is an irrelevant question.  There is no good or bad.  But rather do you have active hepatitis under both these scenerios.

In a nutshell, for HepB, we all start out as HBeAg POS with HBeAb NEG.  Then it usually changes to  HBeAg NEG with HBeAb POS   over the years.  Usually this progression is a good thing but some still have active hepatitis if the the virus mutated (this is not good).
