Post Pegasy/Ribrivan issues

Is anyone still posting about the long term effects of treatment? I ask because I have a lot and it seems that nobody other than people who took the awful drug combo are doing anything to help. Has anybody been able to get disability due to the long term effects of treatment? I have been denied and am done with all appeals without any luck. I have severe back problems, disk degeneration now bone on bone, arthritis throughout, RLS a sleeping disorder, chronic pain, and terrible tremors causing me to be unable to do almost anything with my hands for long enough to work. My memory is really bad and I used to have a very good one. I have a lot of anxiety as well, this also causes the tremors to flair up. I shake so much that I drop things and can't type without hitting keys not intended. I also can not spell very well anymore. I wasn't that good before but now it's awful.

Hi have you tried a law firm?  They were able to help my husband when he was disapproved for SS.
It turned out that his case worker for SS was not looking at the entire picture.  A judge awarded him the SS
The law firm advertises all the time.  People made fun of us for going to them but they got the job done and it was not that much money
Good luck

I was awarded full disability in the UK for Post Interferon syndrome-fatigue and pain being my main issues but anxiety and interferon induced depression also play a part.Have you tried speaking to your liver people about a diagnosis for disability benefit purposes?I was batted from pillar to post for 5 years prior to diagnosis but got there in the end.I do hope you find a sympathetic dr to help with your cause.

Well take a different approach and file disability for Liver disease, ascities and such. It's an automatic approval. You have your med file hopefully online so they can check it. Focus on the damage from HCV and not from treatment. That'll get your disability approved.

The only suggestion I have is have you checked with the Hepatitis C: Post Treatment Issues Community?

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Hepatitis-C-Post-Treatment-Issues/show/1670

They may have other suggestions or maybe the Arthritis communituy?

Best of luck to you
