degerative bone disease

I was told I have degenerative bone disease and I can't find anything on the web to tell what it is or how to prevent it from getting worse.

Do you have hepc as well?  This forum relates to those with the hepc virus.  However, I too have degenerative bone disease in my back.  Broke 3 lumbar vertebrae when I was 18 yrs old and had a spinal fusion.  Over time the bone has weakened and the area surrounding the spinal cord has become smaller causing pain.  Arthritis causes bone degneration as well.  In my case surgery is not an option but I have heard that it can help others.  I don't know what area you are experiencing this in so I can only relate to what I have.  There are medications that can ease the pain and inflamation (inflammation) and perhaps slow the process down but there is no cure to the best of my knowledge.  Perhaps you need to see an orthopedic doc or one that deals with that type to thing.  Also, if you google degenerative bone disease there is an abundance of info on it out there.
Wish you luck
