is this hep c related?

So a few months ago I started noticing these red pinpoint dots on my body. They are tiny and red. There are some on my legs, a few on my stomach, breast, and now neck. I had a hiv test done that was negative, and now I'm wondering if this could be hepatitis b or c at this point. Please respond and any helping information. I'm waiting until my doctor's appointment. I can't imagine how a woman receiving oral sex from a man could result in the transmission of HCV.  Rather than asking your doctor for specific tests be done, why not tell him/her what your symptoms are and let him/her try to figure out what's wrong with you?

Focusing on one disease after the next could just delay a diagnosis of what is REALLY going on.  Having a CBC done is probably a much better idea.

But yeah, if you are worried, I guess you should get tested.

You first posted that you had a number of tests done in early November. And nothing was found.

This is the hepatitis C community. You would not be infected with hepatitis C from oral sex. Hepatitis C is not a STD and is most commonly transmitted from the blood of one person to the blood of another. It is a blood borne virus.

If I was concerned about "red dots" on my skin I would go to see a dermatologist. If I had other physical problems I would go see a GP (General Practitioner) and have her/him diagnose the problem. A doctor is the only one that can help you.

Red dots can come from many different causes.
It is not generally thought to be a sign of hep C.

Please, see your doctor.
