new drug trial

i was offered to participate in a trial for R-4048, a pro-drug of PSI-6130 for the treatment of HCV. the company is Pharmasset and is teamed up with roche. anyone know anything about this new drug. i will most likely hold out for a vertex trial but figured i would ask you peeps about this. thanks

Personally, I'd go for a trial that has some 'track history' or SOC.  I could not find much in the way of results for PSI-6130.  Thing is, once you are involved in a trial you're no longer naive.  And, if you get called for a trial that you prefer you may be eliminated because of recency of treatment or excluded due to prior PI or PI expereince.  Free is not always a good deal.
