Thank you Kim for those beautiful words of encouragemnet.  This is only my first week of a full year treatment and it is daunting and frightening....especially at night while I lay awake and can't sleep well I'll think of these words of the song and it will help me find calm.

Congratulations! I guess you and I finished up the same time. July 28 for me. My lab was drawn last Fri. and I am waiting for the results of my 6 mo. post. Thanks for posting your good news!

CONGRATULATIONS! Now, on with your life! You have really helped me some while going thru this "character test". That's what it felt like sometimes. When living with someone who's also doing tx you have to walk very softly and carry real big sticks!

I'm really delighted that you achieved SVR and I wish you continued improvement in your health as you rebound from treatment.

The ongoing debate about treating versus waiting is definitely interesting.  You say that I am wise to be cautious.  We'll see about that.  Wisdom is generally evaluated after the fact.  If the outcome is favorable (safer treatments come along in the nick of time), I will indeed look wise.  If, however, my condition worsens long before I can take advantage of better drugs, I will look foolish.  Bottom line: there are no easy answers or decisions with this disease.  

I'm just glad you don't have to contend with any of this **** anymore.  You're free...and that's a wonderful thing.
