1 year post TX

Well it is 1 year post tx and I am still SVR. I knew it before the viral load came back UND because my ALT and AST were normal. So I guess that means 100 %. My only problem is recurring Lung problems that started near the end of tx. I get this throbbing pain in my chest that moves around and hurts like hell. I take antibiotocs and it usually goes away. This time I talked the Dr into a Cat Scan.
Besides the Lung problems though I feel great most of the time. My Neuropathy is getting better and my lower back pain has gone away completely (knock on wood). And my high blood pressure became normal recently so I am off bp meds for a month. Waiting to see what happens.

Bobby

Dear Bobby,

Congratulations on your one year SVR!!! I hope you can get to the bottom of your lung problems soon.

Could you tell me a bit about your blood pressure problems?

Hypertension has been a huge issue for me during tx and I don't know what to expect when I'm done in five weeks. I've quadrupled my meds, all during tx, and even though I'm finally getting decent readings, I now also get hypotension.

I'd really like to return to the good old days of controlling my blood pressure with lifestyle. Somehow my PCP thinks this is unrealistic, so I'm thrilled to hear that you were able to drop your meds after tx.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Congratulations again. Way to go.

Great that you are UND & SVR!!  It seems that a lot of us are on the same time frame LOL.  The pain in my chest turned out to be gastritis.  script  Pepcid was the "cure" for my pain.  It seems like many of your TX woes are getting better which is also good for you.
