Definitely will get you better answers providing a little history and what meds you're taking, even from short-sighted folks like me. :)
I appreciate your graciousness, even on treatment. Hope all is well. ~eureka
Thanks eureka for understanding , I should desclose on all comments that im under treatment also .. took 3rd shot today and feeling a little intence, im sure you know how i feel not feeling bad but feeling like im not thinking with full abilaty dose that make scence to you anyway thank again [joey]
Glad to hear that your problem is easing off, and again, my mistake for not realizing you were asking relative to treatment of hep c -- please excuse my bad attitude. I will remember in the future that you are undergoing treatment. I do hope my post did not make you angry -- we all have to deal with change, indeed, and I hope the other folks here were helpful even if I was not. Take care, best wishes. ~eureka254
I wood just asume that all posting is hep c infected, and I did not have this problem befor meds. [ I know this forum is for hep c] eureka 54 bad attetude , by the way my #1 problem is easing off ,it must be my meds working through , i dont know not mad just dealing with the change
if it is a UTI, don't wait, I did once and it turned into a kindey infection rather quickly, much bigger problem, better to take care of it early
oops, I see your a male. dont know if males get UTI's. Dont know if they can take AZO.
UTI 's are a drag. I had to do lots of H20, cranberry juice, AZO was a life saver. It takes the pain away till you can get to a vet or a doctor :-). I got sulfa drugs and a others here know the kinds of drugs to take for UTI's. Maybe your doc can take a quick pee test and prescribe you some antibiotics? I was not on incivek or the other approved drug .
Mine got bad with fever staying @ 104-106 and peeing every 3 minutes. Don't let yours get that bad or you too could be an unhappy camper ;-(.. I did get the approval to use the AZO ( which is also avail. @ the dollar type store generically! ) and the antibiotics I got from my vet. The AZO really takes away the pain fast. Makes your urine red, but oh what a relief it is till the antibiotics kick in. I think it is important to get the med's fast because I feel on tx, we sub-come to kidney infections perhaps easier.
Anyways good luck on your tx.
Joey is on Incivek, Riba and Inf. I understood the question to mean, is this pain normal while on triple med treatment. After all, look what Incivek does to our rectums, and all three of them cause us to have aches and pains just about everywhere it seems.

Thanks for pointing that out; not realizing that joey was on treatment I had thought the question out of context.
joey: Being that treatment can lower your immune system, definitely something you should address with your treatment doctor or a Urologist if the symptom does not resolve. Best wishes, and good luck with treatment! ~eureka
Yes Joey is on triple and I thought he was asking if possibly this was a symptom of treatment.
Will
Hector, joey48 has Hep C and is on triple therapy with Incivek.

I have had two bladder infections during treatment. :0(
As Eureka said Get an appointment with a Urologist. They are specialist of the urinary track.
"Kind of hurts" What does that mean? You should be more descriptive if you want advice.
How does it hurt?
Burning?
Pain at tip?
If the pain gets worse go to ER to be on the safe side.
In the future you should post in the appropriate forum. This forum is for the discussion of hepatitis C and liver disease.
Good luck.
Hector
I suggest drinking extra water and call your primary care doc. If it becomes extremely painful, if you have mid/low back pain, if urine is dark or discolored, if you develop a fever, or you can't urinate much, I would recommend going to an urgent care clinic or an emergency room. I don't know much about men and urinary tract, bladder, or kidney infections.

Not lol at ur symptom. @ willb comment. Agree u need to call. Drink cranberry juice til u can get in. Or eat fresh.. Karen
Unfortunately not one of those things where we can just tell you,
"What, it hurts when you do that? Then don't do that."
Kind of hurts would definitely be kind of not normal.
Posting urinary symptom questions on a hepatitis c forum is also kind of not normal. Hope your pain resolves; if not, perhaps a urologist is most appropriate. Best wishes. ~eureka
glad you aren"t touching the "bent over " part .... ;0)
No, not normal. Get it checked out very soon. I won't touch the bend over part ;o) Hope its resolved quickly.
Pain from urinating can be from many different problems. One as pooh mentioned could be an infection or possibly an enlarged prostrate often caused by many drugs or just from aging (benign prostatic enlargement).
I would get to the doctor and have a full urine screen done and get ready to bend over and get the prostate felt for enlargement also...
Good luck
Will
The men on the forum can probably answer your question better than I can, but pain on urination is never normal. You may have a urinary tract infection. I would see the doctor soon, like tomorrow, if possible.
