11 Month Old with Fiberous Liver

by Susan B., Nov 23, 1999 12:00AM
My nephew went for his 9 month check up.  They took blood and said he was anemic.  They then did ultra-sounds of his abdomon.  He then went and had cat-scans done on his lower trunk and then on his chest.  After all these test, they decided to admit him to Childern's hospital and do a biopsy of his liver and bone marrow.

The bone marrow came back fine, but the liver was determined to be very abnormal.  They ruled out cancer, but are stumpted as to what is causing the anemia.

Have you seen or heard of anything like this before?  What information can you provide?
