Willy is correct, I started to feel much better within a day of stopping Telaprevir.
Good luck to you.
Eric
Thanks for the help. 9 more days and I ma on the mend. I will try the suggestions. My skin looks so pale and wrinkled!
ummmmmm......I'm still itching :-(
But rash is better :-)
Much less fatigue :-)
That is very encouraging to hear that the cloud and itching will subside immediatly upon discontinuation. I'm week 20 now and at my wits end with itching and rashes that come and go all over my body. I feel like every inch of my body feels good to 'scratch' and it's really hard to avoid doing so. I'm going to try the 'Gold Bond Triple Threat Anti Itch Medicated Lotion' that nygirl7 mentioned as maybe it will provide relief from this h*** of itching.
glucklich hang in there as it will get better and we'll get relief soon... onward
The VX cloud leaves you very quickly when you stop it. I felt it lift within 24 hours.

Is there some rule you cannot take a mild antihistamine while on TX?
also if skin is really dry, try actaul lanolin, some phams still carry it. it hydrates skin better than all else...messy though.
According to Andiamo his sides dropped off quite quickly after ending triple therapy and switching to SOC. You know rthat the rash issue may take a bit longer to resolve but I think you'll feel noticably better as soon as you finish taking the Telaprevir.
You might also conclude that as miserable as you are it may mean you have not been on placebo. That will also likely bode well with your outcomes. The people that post here on the Prove 3 trials have been doing very well and I am hoping that you too will have a good outcome.
Hang in there! : )

Start making sure you moisturize your skin with something good and think SEVERAL times a day it will help. I'd suggest Gold Bond Triple Threat Anti Itch Medicated Lotion Green bottle red top. It helps a LOT with the itch and believe me I itched my way through 72 weeks it was the ONLY thing that helped.
