12 Week PCR Undetectable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by jamit_a, Oct 31, 2003 12:00AM
Hi all,

I just got my results back undetectable less than 50! but here is the bad news!
My WBC is now down to 760 and my GI wants me to check it again this week,  to see if we need to reduce my INF dose :-( I hope my CBC test shows better numbers this week! Please keep me in your prayers. Im geno 2, 38 male stage 1 or 2 fibrosis.
No other health issues.
Well 3 more months to go I hope. Sounds crazy to say I hope I stay on the ****!

God bless,

Jamit_a

When my WBC numbers dropped my doc reduced the Peg dose while we waited for Neupogen. Sometimes a drop in Peg can bring up the counts but sometimes it doesn't. Maybe ask for Neupogen to stay at full dose?

Good luck,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the advice, I will discuss that option with my GI after I get my test result back.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Great news! Congratulations. You may want to ask your doctor for Neupogen to increase your WBC's.

Congrats on the undetectable status!  Moi Bien!  The WBC count being low doesnt necessarily make you feel weak, thats more likely the tx meds &/or RBCs being low too.  You are more suseptible to infection with low WBCs so be careful of being around sickies/crowds etc.  I took a Procrit and Neupogen shot on Mon and by Thurs I felt much much better.  I know you had a rough time on tx there for awhile, hope you are able to keep going and kicking the dragons butt!
