12 Week PCR

I got my 12 week PCR results this morning all clear <600. Every thing was okay, thyroid, Red & white blood cells. Liver enzymes.
I finally got Xanax to calm down some, the lexapro made me sick on my stomach. shot 15/48 Friday. I feel better all ready.

Hey Monte - congratulations!  Isn't that the best feeling?  For some reason, that's when the Hep C became very real to me.  I'd never had any symptoms after being infected for almost 20 years.  When I saw that I was clear after 8 weeks, and I saw my blood work normal for the first time since high school, I really realized that there was something there, that was no longer there.  It's hard to explain.  Anyway, that's a great sign, and I wish you continued good luck!  BTW, my treatment ended on October 14, and am eagerly, and anxiosly awaiting my 3-month check in January...

Yes you are right, I asked my doctor about that and he told me that when you start treatment you have 50% chance to cure and at week 12, if you reach undetectalbe result you have almost 80% chance to succeed in therapy. I did have <600 at 12 week and now I am an SVR, 15 monthes after treatment of 48 weeks. Keep up the good fight and good luck.

Thanks everyone.  When you clear at 12 weeks don't you have a better chance of SVR?

My sweetie got the results of his PCR test yesterday after 12 weeks of treatment.  He had a 4 million viral load going into treatment and now it is down to 3 thousand.  The nurse said this was very good.  What is considered "undetectable" as far as the viral load?  Other than his white cell count being a little low everything else, the nurse said, looks good.  This treatment is hard on him and he thinks of giving up sometimes.  I try to talk him out of these feelings but now I'm wondering if his viral load isn't what is considered undetectable at this point perhaps I'm doing him more harm than good.  This seems like good news to me but is it?  He is a 1A and has had the virus for 35 years.  His stamina before treatment and health in general was pretty good.  But now he complains of being worn out all the time and that is what makes him want to quit.
